  • What LOST has lost...

    Losts3

The subject heading is a bit deceiving. It may anticipate a negative review of the current season, but far from the opposite is true. One thing that LOST no longer has is the island's romance and redeeming qualities, especially as seen from the current episode aired this week. What was spiritually uplifting in Season 2 with the vision of Yemi suddenly becomes deceiving and menacing, the island now becoming not so friendly again...which I think LOST has actually regained as in Season 1, where we all wet our pants at mysterious monster cries and polar bear sightings! And what is this!?...It is now official. My mother alluded to the fact that one of the survivors will finally die. Number 3 of the main LOSTIES. We have lost though someone I really cared for. He brought to the show the religious struggle and spiritual battles I face today. Am I a good person for the past deeds I've done? Did I only do them to survive, as mentioned by the character now passed on (see the below memoriam picture). Without this person, will Locke be the central focus and turn the show on its head a wax philosophy of existential proportions!...But Locke's guote of the night is something for all of us devotees of the show to ponder:

    Don't mistake coincidence for fate!

All the connections we're making, do they truly have meaning?...
Which I pose to all you who would comment....

    LOST QUESTION FOR THE DAY:

HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED A SERENDIPTIOUS EVENT OR COINCIDENCE TO THINK THAT SOMETHING GREATER IS AT HAND, MANIPULATING YOUR DESTINY? I USE TO BELIEVE SO, BUT IT COULD BE JUST THAT...COINCIDENCE AND NOTHING MORE....CONSIDER, HOWEVER, BEN AND THE PROPOSAL FOR JACK TO OPERATE HIS TUMOR...AND JULIET'S PROPOSAL AS WELL. REMEMBER BEN'S QUESTION: "Do you believe in God, Jack?"...to which Jack responds, "Do you?"....TO PARAPHRASE BEN'S ANSWER: Once I found out about my tumor, a few days later a spinal surgeon fall s from the sky. If that isn't an act of God, I don't know what is. HOW DOES JULIET PROPOSAL TIE IN WITH COINCIDENCE AND FATE?

Beware the black smoke folks! As Locke finds out from our now new casualty, we're next!

  • Who's Lost in LOST?

Okay, as mentioned in the previous entry regarding what ever happened to Rose and Bernard, how is Rousseau doing? What is she doing? Can anyone remember her last words spoken to the Losties?...Just curious in case it means something in the future...

Hmmmmm, oh well, I'm pretty bummed about the plans for 2 more episodesn and a 13 week hiatus! What am I going to write about now?...Just when I'm getting back LOST jungle fever, too!

See you in another life, brutha(sister)...

  • See you in another life, Brutha.

Lost_Desmond Where Do You THink You're Going, Brutha?...

To tie in with all that has been going on with Lost and my new found discovery I'm dedicating on www.xanga.com/Charlie_Claire, I pay my first homage to Desmond. I have heard a podcast on the Lost podcasting network a theory in regards to Locke's dream/hallucination with Boone. He was in an airport, and we see various LOSTIES in various roles. One particular comment of interest was Desmond's role as a pilot, this supposedly associating him as the key to getting off the island?...Hmmm, I like that idea. What bad thing has he done in his past, prior to getting on the island (keep in mind season 2 and what he had accidentally done to his partner (sorry, don't know the name, but I know he had connections in the military?-correct me if I'm wrong). If having a blank slate helps redeem oneself, than perhaps Desmond IS the answer?...His ability to know the future will prove crucial in this if this is true, as it will help the others not captured predict the next move of the Others (oh, and in perusing images-there are some freaky pics of Ben....scarrrrry). We'll have to wait and see. But it's kind of cool to know someone has changed in a strange way that could prove to be of superhero proportions. (I do have a fascination for that kind of thing).

love triangle Menage a Toi of a Different Order

Okay, so it isn't exactly a threesome we're expecting. You Skaters and Jaters (SkaJaters) if you will can put your hopes away, at least for now. We have Sawyer trying to sidle up close to Kate but in the process has gotten beaten up for it. Granted, he was probably trying to sidle up the Others to evaluate their fighting style for future reference. Any rate, a kiss from Kate was worth it in his eyes, but if we saw last episode, one can't get too attached. (Wha!? Sawyer has a daughter?). So, what does his flashback mean for him? Well, Ben is basically like the warden. If he can find a way to lie and cheat his way to freedom, then maybe he can do the same he did before crashing on the island to Ben?...But Ben seems 1000 steps ahead of everybody. Of course, it helps when you have your minions do everything for you...(Geez, did he really just sedate that rabbit?...OOH, number spotting!!!!! #8!!!!!!!!!!). Anyway, I feel for Sawyer. For some reason, I dig the bad boys especially if they're real softies inside. I just hope we can find something innovative for Jack and Kate. Though I'm not a Jater, it's been a while that they've been separated. I know how Kate feels about Sawyer, but how much of Kate is willing to forego her past to be Jack's girl?...Hmm, I know I missed a few episodes of season 2, so any fan out there that can tell me about Jack's past (aside from being cheated on by his wife) let me know....

(p.s. For Jack fans: It's not a tumor!!! (voice of Schwarznegger from Kindergarten Cop :) ....lol)

    lost-official-5-b-locke Unlocking Locke

This is more of a spirtual homage. Again, inspired by the Lost Podcasting Network's many varied programs, one particular program (when I figure out which, I'll credit here) mentioned a biblical verse relating to Locke's brief lapse of being mute. It had something to do with being struck dumb until one's faith is returned....As promised, I was going to post something here if something LOST related happened to me...I like Locke had a true faith in something I deeply believed, for him it was the Island. For me, it was singing and creating music. Suddenly, like being punished I grew disillusioned at my sudden change in my voice, growing frustrated and losing faith that the gift I had was meant for me. I felt betrayed and in fact lost faith in a sense in my self and in my spiritual beliefs as well. Why would God give something only to take it away? (similarly, so far Locke still has the ability to walk, but what would happened if it were suddenly taken away again!?-talk about cursing the island!) Once the Swan hatch is starting to implode, we hear Locke admit to Ek0 (my spiritual bridge to this show; his faith is something for me to regain-unblind-to believe in something not there is true faith) he was wrong!...After the incident, as if like rebirth a la Jack fashion in the pilot episode, we see Locke's eye open. He is in the middle of the jungle, disoriented only to see...hey brutha...Desmond. This could be interpreted in many ways, for me to be optimistic that Desmond can see the future...means that Locke HAS a future after all...And we see this being developed as the new found leader, stepping in for Jack's absence since he has been taken hostage. Finally, Locke's opportunity to prove to everyone his leadership abilities...

I am still struck dumb, about LOST and my life. In some ways, I liked Further Instructions out of all the new episodes this season because it felt like it recaptured the flavor of the first season....My DESMOND prediction?- Like the plane crash, we too will probably discover what actually happened before, during, and after the Swan imploded. An episode dedicated to that would be quite interesting. And would only raise more questions (like, how the hell did they survive something like that?) And other predictions: If Desmond was affected, how else might the LOSTies be affected? How about Eko? Will he too have a power yet to be revealed ???(Oh god, I hope we don't have network rivalry trying to have one show "copy" the other; eg, total eclipse : hatch implosion::ordinary people starting to discover their superhero powers:LOSTIES able to fight polar bears with their minds and reading the minds of the Others).

That's it for now, bruthas and sisters :)

P.S. What ever happened to Rose and Bernard? I know they decided together to stay on the island, but did they like outcast themselves away from the rest of the Losties?...I mean, okay, you guys can be in love with each other, but won't you get bored?....Will we see them again? And will we have a return appearance of Walt and Michael?....Or better, will Rousseau return? (My vote is to see where all of them are in the mix of things and see if they all come back to aid the Losties somehow)

    Poll:
______Yes _______ No Want to see Rose and Bernard again
______Yes _______ No Want to see Walt and Michael again
______Yes _______ No Want to see Rousseau again

  • Sexy Beast :) grrrrrwwwwll...

    charlie5

Okay. So this isn't a recap. I used to do them but i got tired. It took just as long as watching them. Basically, if I have a LOSt moment in my life, then I'll post something related. But as of now, I still love Charlie. I don't know where his character is going, but at least he's back with Claire...which brings me to an aside....

Yeah. This is a promo for a sister site. It's on www.xanga.com/Charlie_Claire. A hint: It mentions a character named Claire as well...You must go there to just check it out, at least once. If you don't like it, so be it. Just wanting to expand my horizons a little.

Hmmm. A few LoST related things. I'm digging this season. Perhaps for reasons such as 1) I caught the premiere and loved the perspective of the "Others" in what looked like a Stepford community, 2) Locke, Eko, and Desmond survived 1the implosion, 3) the triangle between Jack, Kate, and Sawyer seems to get hotter in times of tension, 4) polar bear :) ....grawwllll, 5) Hurley and "DUDE!" right before he almost got filleted by Locke's dagger, 6) and a tie in with the above link, Desmond now able to predict the future....hmmmmm, I likey likey this season.

Well, folks. I hope I have more interesting things to say in the -----future.......

    Hatch closed!

  • Back to Lost

I'm totally back on track with the show. The season opener confirms an underwater hatch, and sparks fly between Sawyer and Kate. Look at Sawyer grin ;) What will Hurley say to the rest of the gang when he returns? What would you say after meeting up with the "good guys." We're about to find out how "good" they are.

HOw did I upload photos before?....I'm so confused since I haven't been using xanga in longest time...New season to come...I hope I'll have more to write then....

  • Dude, Where Are You?

charliefate I feel like a lonely castaway. At least the people of LOST, in spite of their dramas and tensions with each other, have other people on the island to contend with...It seems on this Xanga forum, I've been waiting for my own devoted group of castaways to wash ashore with me...To share in a bonfire of agape.  To philosophize about life. To laugh at the ridiculous things we observe in life...To discuss LOST!

So, yes, granted, I initiated this page more as LOST seemed to reflect what was going on in my life..Now, well, the fulfillment of Walt and Michael's reunion appears to have been anticlimatic...then again, I'm still unsure what is to happen to our notorious threesome (i.e., Jack, Kate, and Sawyer). Hmmm,  I feel "lost"...What is the purpose of this page now?...No one has ventured here in a long time. Here in Bernard fashion, I attempt to create my stones conveying an SOS to hear me!  No planes in sight nor boats have docked!...

    Dude, WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?.....

  • Unable to think of anything to write, especially now that we're in rerun season....Hmm, just when I was excited about Michael's return and the reappearance of Walt, God taketh away...or in this case "Him" which turns out to be "Henry" after all?!....

What expectations can be made for this season?

    1) Locke/Eko = survived the whole hatch fiasco? or not?...

    2) Jateyer (Jack/Kate/Sawyer) trio = what is to become of them?

    3) Sun's baby = what significance, if any, does this have for the Losties?

    4) Charlie's redemption = with Eko MIA, what will come of Charlie?

    5) Whatever happened to Rose? We saw Bernard with Claire as they got all excited to see Michael...or did I miss her?...

Is this going to get boring now?.....

Please, I need true Lost fans to help me regain my "LOST" faith

  • Random Observations...

I'm not dissing LOST (god forbid, it's getting better every week as we reach the finale)! Just a random observation...To me, Mr. Eko looks like THE authentic castaway, shredded shirt and pants and walking staff in tow. The rest look like a Benetton ad :) Although, with lack of fabric softner and scented detergent, I'm sure they don't smell as nice as its models :) ...Kidding aside...

For every action a reaction -

Mr. Eko is now sitting in front of infamous computer monitor that indirectly led to all the events that has occurred up to now. (Consider Michael's communication with Walt-or was that even really him?) which of course motivated Michael to go after Walt towards the camp, which led to him returning to the lOSTIES turf leading to two killings and one escaped Other...It was really interesting to see the Others' camp in the flashbacks. I had to laugh when the woman called herself Miss Clue! I thought of Miss Cleo. Anyway, I hope Sayid won't take a hit next as he seems to be a foot close to getting in Michael's way to his goal of getting back Walt, although Sayid had backed off perhaps knowing this. I mean, Sayid is the first to believe that Michael was "compromised" and that he was planning to lead the others into the Others' trap. Glad Sayid let Jack in on it as well. Poor Hugo. I feel for him, but it looks like Michael's words egged him on and is actually going with him on the way to the campl, Michael's intentions unknown to him. At least with Jack along, there's at least one person who is aware of what is actually happening or will have all senses perked in every direction.
As will mine be, with the Lost Experience and since I'm working next Wednesday, I'll have to either download or record!

    Namaste!

  • Searching for LOST Faith "Somewhere Only We Know" (Sung by KEANE)

NOTE: I did not make, I repeat, I DID NOT make this video...Go to You Tube to find out who did.

Ahhh, LOST has redeemed itself once again. The buzz is that the season finale is gonna kick season 1's ass! This episode is too much for words! I can't wait til they make the book Philosophy of LOST! For me, lately, I've been going through a crisis of faith.I've become the jaded and disllusioned Locke who has LOST faith in the world or "island" of a world. I'm in search of someone like Eko to guide me through the jungle and find my own personal PEARL (bridge-"pearls of wisdom") hatch that might shed light on everything... And so, I try to be as succinct as possible yet in a creative way to relay the events of last night's episode...

Eko takes the place of Locke. Locke becomes like "Doubting Jack", skeptical and cynical. In addition, role reversal occurs as Eko is trying to simultaneously lead and follow in a way Locke towards the "?" hatch. Eko is leader in terms of taking force in order that Locke take him to the mysterious hatch which they discover for the first time together in a way that mirrors Boone exploring the fallen plane where Eko's brother's dead body was found. Ironically, it is here where Boone falls to a later demise.

Eko flashes back to his own doubts in miracles. Is the psychic telling truths about being a fke? What then of Claire's prophecy? "Meaningless" the button pushing, "meaninful" to Eko. Isn't life like that. We are given rules and tenets of beliefs, like buttons we are told to push, until we wonder what happens when we stop pushing the button...Like when we stop believing in something, a world once stable falls apart... As Yemi appears constantly in Eko's visions reunited on the mysterious island leading to the "?" could illuminate Michael's guilt in the deaths of Ana and Libby. Strange days ahead....

For the previous post of my version of Sawyer trying to tell a campfire story, sorry if I didn't remain loyal to characterization completely or did not make feelings authentic, in terms of the scope of events that have happened (i.e., mourning deaths of Libby and Ana...the post was written prior to lastnight's episode)....
